Taylor Swift's real name can be described as Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on December 13th, 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.A. Taylor Swift became a popular singer and songwriter in early 2001 when she began sharing her stories of pain and heartbreak. Swift began to show an interest in the music industry at a young age. Swift's career grew rapidly from children's play roles and her first public appearance in front of thousands. As Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner in front of a Philadelphia 76ers game at age 11. She was already composing songs. In the following year, she took up guitar. Drawing inspiration from popular country artists like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original music that was a reflection of her experience of growing up in a world that was dominated by tweens. Swift was thirteen when her parents made the decision to let go of their Pennsylvania farm and move towards Hendersonville Tennessee. She could dedicate all her time to reaching out to the country music labels that were based in Nashville.
